
Flight plan messages and/or slot applications for commercial

s, shall normally be submitted via the
SITA
network or e-mail, whereby the
PROC
s and formats of the
IATA Standard Schedule Information Manual
(SSIM)
must be used as described above
. In exceptional cases, applications may be submitted by
FAX
or
TEL
. Applications not following the SSIM standards, or the adjusted SSIM standards as mentioned above,
must at least include the following data:

The
ICAO
FLT
plan format shall be used.
The
ARR
and/or
DEP
times at the coordinated airports, included in the announcements and/or applications,
must be in conformity with the flight plans published. For fully coordinated airports the
ARR
and/or
DEP
times
may only be published by the air carrier and/or operator after allocation of the slots by the airport coordinator.
Permission for entry and exit granted by the Belgian
CAA
does not replace the obligation to report and/or
submit an application to the airport coordinator. The same applies to flight schedules for scheduled air
services approved by the Belgian
CAA
.
Applications should be made as early as possible. In case of short-term applications or alteriations to
FLT
s,
lower priority handling must be expected vis-à-vis
FLT
s with previously allocated slots for the same time of
ARR
and/or
DEP
.
2.5 Exemptions from coordination
Following
FLT
s are exempted from coordination:
a.
TKOF
and
LDG
of
ACFT
carrying members of the Belgian Royal Family, the Belgian governments,
foreign royal families and heads of State or leaders of foreign governments, presidents and
commissioners of the European Union, on official mission
b.
TKOF
and
LDG
concerning
MIL
missions
c.
ILS
calibration
FLT
s when there is an urgent operational need
d.
TKOF
and
LDG
concerning missions in case of disasters or medical assistance (e.g. medical
transplant)
e. Police emergency
FLT
s
f.
SAR
FLT
s
g.
LDG
in case of operational diversion. The subsequent
DEP
will also be exempted.
It is important that
FLT
s mentioned in items:
z a and b are reported to BSC as far in advance as possible
z c, d, e, f and g are reported to BSC as soon as possible after the operation.
